Richmond, Virginia

We crossed the pontoon-bridge at Richmond & marched through the city march with Colors flying & drums beating as a matter. The Eastern soldiers guarding Richmond lined the streets as we marched through. We marched out on the Hanover Court House road, General Slocum’s left wing leading.
