Near Dallas Georgia

General McPherson moved up from Dallas to the point in front of the enemy at New Hope Church, and Generals Schofield and Hooker were shifted to the extreme left. Stoneman’s and Garrard’s cavalry have been sent to occupy Allatoona Pass, and Tomorrow we will march on Marietta.

McPherson has shifted his troops to his left to connect with Thomas, and he has been situating his trains in the rear to protect from enemy raiders.
