We are moving south on several roads from Kingston to Dallas, Georgia. We have had a little skirmishing with the enemy cavalry. One of Schofield’s trains was attacked and burned by enemy cavalry. They were in enough numbers to overcome the infantry guard. The army has set the order of march for tomorrow. Thomas’ corp will march to Pumpkin Vine Creek and set up on the road from Allatoona to Dallas. General Schofield is to set up on his left.

McPherson on the right, will march into Dallas from his current position near Euharlee Creek.
