Burnett House, Cincinnati, Ohio

We boarded the cars in Louisville and headed for Cincinnati carrying on our conversation about personnel and strategy. We want to coordinate our movements, both starting bold offensives at the same time so that reinforcements cannot travel between Johnston and Lee. We plan to start when the weather is favorable, after our soldiers return from furloughs and my division returns from Red River. We spent the evening pouring over maps and planning the campaigns. I will need a good set of maps sent to Nashville.
